Dr. Angelo Vito Panaro
Dr. Angelo Vito Panaro ist Postdoktorand am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der FAU, wo er in Zusammenarbeit mit dem V-Dem-Institute am Forschungsprojekt „Academic Freedom Index“ arbeitet.
Vor seinem Wechsel an die FAU war Angelo Vito Panaro Postdoktorand an der Universität Bielefeld (2023-2024) und Postdoktorand an der Universität Mailand (2021-2023). Von 2021 bis 2024 war er außerdem Lehrbeauftragter am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Universität Bologna. Zu seinen Forschungsinteressen gehören Autoritarismus, Autokratisierung, Vergleich von Wohlfahrtsstaaten, Sozialpolitik, globale Armut und Umverteilung sowie die Politik von Einkommens- und sozialer Ungleichheit. Seine Forschung wurde in Zeitschriften wie Democratization, Contemporary Politics, Review of Policy Research, Italian Political Science und Italian Political Science Review veröffentlicht.
In den letzten Jahren hat Angelo Vito Panaro Kurse zu Themen wie Autokratisierung, Vergleich von Wohlfahrtsstaaten, globale soziale Umverteilung und Ungleichheiten sowie Sozialpolitik unterrichtet. Er war zudem Gastwissenschaftler am Forschungszentrum für Ungleichheit und Sozialpolitik (SOCIUM) der Universität Bremen (2019) und am European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research (2018).
Angelo Vito Panaro ist ein aktives Mitglied der Standing Group ‚Politische Regime‘ der Società Italiana di Scienza Politica (SISP) und wurde 2022 mit dem Carlo Maria Santoro-Preis für das beste von einem Nachwuchsforscher präsentierte Paper auf der SISP-Konferenz ausgezeichnet (gemeinsam mit Dr. Andrea Vaccaro).
